Townsville Thursdays in Black

This group consists of a small core circle of women who have shown their commitment and passion to the vision of Townsville Thursdays in Black, in demanding a world without rape and violence, with great determination, ability and dignity.

Every Thursday between 10:00am and 12:00pm the women meet at the Women’s Centre to discuss planned events, guest speakers, requests, protest against violence and to support each other.

These women meet wearing black as a silent protest against rape and violence.

All women are welcome to join this group. For further information please contact the Women’s Centre on (07) 4775 7555.
